An astonishing snapshot of prehistoric life, thanks to an incredibly vast collection of artefacts dating back 4,000 years which have reached us almost fully intact.

Located in the centre of Fiavé, around 1km from the new park on the outskirts of the Lake Carera bog, the Pile-dwelling Museum treats visitors to an exceptionally rich collection. You will be amazed at its extraordinary preservation: a visit to this museum offers a rare chance to admire artefacts which date back to 4,000 years ago and yet have remained mostly intact. Additionally, a fascinating model featuring over 70 figures illustrates the construction techniques and everyday lives of our ancestors. The exhibition includes ceramic crockery and jewellery in bronze, Baltic amber and gold, in addition to remains of food from that era and around 300 of the world’s oldest wooden objects, such as cups, ladles, sickles, drills and axe handles.

HIGHLIGHT
The amazing sight of prehistoric artefacts still intact after an incredible 4,000 years.
