The Val Meledrio is a valley that connects the Val di Sole and Val Rendena, separating the Presanella Group (the north east) from the Brenta Group (northern side).

The valley is crossed by the stream Meledrio, which flows from the lake Malghette  into the River Noce at Dimaro in Val di Sole. At a certain point in its course, a narrow rocky gorge forces the stream to form a mighty waterfall, the cascade of Pison, that deserves to be appreciated both from above - from the newly built bridge - and from below - via a short, well marked  path.

Val Meledrio is a wild valley, that people from Val di Sole often call with the term Selva, being characterized by dense pine forests and steep scree slopes, above which rise the walls of the northern chain of the Brenta Dolomites.

The valley offers many trails for hiking, snowshoeing, Nordic walking and ski mountaineering.
