Heterogeneous route from Lavis to San Michele all'Adige, mostly through vineyards, partly on dirt and partly on paved secondary roads.

The route touches sequentially on a number of points of interest and special places. It begins in Lavis at the highly original Giardino dei Ciucioi: it is a late 19th-century hanging garden, which can be partially visited freely at a cost of €2 (check opening hours). From there, take the path that climbs the hill above, Dos Paion, arriving immediately at the large terrace with a view built on an old aqueduct cistern. A short extension/detour leads through the vegetation to the impressive Zambèl viewing platform, overlooking a large austiraca dam and the Cembra Valley. Continuing on, you return to the Adige Valley and reach one after the other some of the characteristic small villages that dot these hills: Maso Clinga, Maso Spon and then Maso Poli, now home to a winery, in a panoramic position.

From here, to continue north, it is necessary to descend to the bottom of the valley via a rather steep cemented section, then ascend on a paved side road, constantly surrounded by vineyards. You then reach the circular village of Sorni Vecchia: there is an excellent restaurant of the same name here. Even if you do not wish to stop to eat (if anything, reservations are a must), it is worth walking around the village to appreciate views and glimpses. Nearby there is also an agritourism with restaurant service.

Continue further on secondary roads through vineyards until you reach a small forest: here you access a path that crosses it until you almost reach San Michele all'Adige: you approach the village from above, being able to appreciate the extent of the large buildings of the Fondazione E. Mach, an international agronomic research center, and the former Augustinian Convent, now home to METS, one of Italy's largest and most beautiful ethnographic museums.
