From Mount Zugna to Passo Buole
Mule track on the ridge of Mount Zugna descending to Passo Buole, the "Termopiles of Italy."
From the summit of Zugna by a mule track you reach Passo Buole. This locality was called "Termopili d'Italia" because of the extreme resistance put up by the Italian army to the Austro-Hungarian offensive of May 1916, which intended to break through the front in Vallarsa to take from behind the first line stationed at the "Trincerone." A chapel was erected there in memory of the fallen soldiers.
