From Valentine's Day to Bès by snowshoe.

An easy walk in the snow at San Valentino in Brentonico, Monte Baldo Trentino.

A walk with or without snowshoes to discover the scenic beauty of Mount Baldo Natural Park.

Leaving the car at the village of Villaggio Pianeti or first towards the pass, continue on the SP3 road closed to traffic in winter, often snow-covered but practicable even without snowshoes due to the compactness of the snow. Staying on the road you can't go wrong, you pass the historic military tunnels that offer a spectacular view of the Brentonico plateau towards the artificial lake Prà da la Stua and the western slopes of San Valentino, continue after a few curves and catch a glimpse of the Rifugio Fos Ce structure. Just before the entrance, a forest road can be seen to the right that enters the beech forest and leads to the Bès meadows.

In winter from there the snow gets higher and the use of snowshoes is recommended, especially if there is no well-marked trail of some other hiker or snowmobile.

When you reach Malga Bès, you can admire the fantastic view of the nature reserve and then return by the same route, the only one that is passable in snow. Alternatively, you can continue toward Bocca del Creer and Rifugio Graziani by taking the SP3 again and returning from the road toward San Valentino.
