In search of the "Hidden Meadow"

<p>Prà Repe, the hidden meadow, in the middle of the woods, just above the village of Pera, is the perfect occasion to bring a snack in your backpack and lie down to enjoy the colors of the sun and the Ladin Dolomites.</p>

<p>Above the Dirupi del Larsech cliffs, in front of the Monzoni group. According to studies by Father Frumenzio Ghetta, a valuable historian, writer and linguist of Ladin history, there was an ancient Rhaetian settlement at Prà Repe. A walk that borders the forest and allows you to admire stretches once cultivated with barley, rye, and potatoes. Hard work, mountain farming on steep and hard soil. These are places preserving the voices and the effort, but also the bliss of reward on the warmest days when lying in the sun, protected and guarded by friendly mountains, stories were told in silence, far from technology. Here, halfway, look for the “hidden meadow”: spread a blanket, listen to the scent of flowers and woods, and surrender to nature before returning to the homes of modern life.</p>
