San Valentino, Fos-Ce and Bès Natural reserve
A short loop to get to know the botanical diversity of the Monte Baldo Park and taste its typical products

Starting from the village of San Valentino, where you can leave your car in the car park on the side of the road before the road barrier on the SP3 or in the public car parks in the village, continue along the SP3, encountering distinctive features of the area: dense beech woods, waterfalls and streams, military tunnels, as well as the beautiful panorama of the Prà de la Stùa basin. After a regenerating stop at the Baita Fos-Ce hut, retrace your steps for a few dozen metres before taking the dirt road on the left that climbs towards the Corna Piana nature reserve, which opens up with a vast meadow on a gentle slope and the other surrounding peaks in the background. After reaching the Malga Bès facilities, you can opt for the descent towards the village of San Valentino on the Sentiero delle Vipere (Viper Trail), paying close attention to where you put your full weight considering the exposure of the track, or return comfortably via the forest road of the outward journey.

An alternative way to shorten the route, in the months when the SP3 is open to traffic, is to reach the parking area of Rifugio Baita Fos-Ce and leave on foot from there after tasting the local gastronomic specialities of the refuge.
