The Fersina falls / Bòsserspring trail
A circular route that follows the course of the Fersina stream, taking in small waterfalls, ancient water-related structures, traces of mining activity and picturesque views of the Valle dei Mòcheni.
Bòsserspring is a trail that illustrates the deep connection between the Mòchena community and water, an element that has shaped the landscape and influenced daily life in the valley over the centuries.
The trail runs alongside the Fersina stream, taking visitors past numerous small waterfalls and cascades that characterise the route. These features are not merely a distinctive aspect of the landscape; they also bear witness to the works carried out over time to regulate the course of the stream and control its flooding.

Along the way, you will come across the remains of the old sawmill, an important testament to the use of water power in the valley’s traditional productive activities. After crossing the Fersina, the path climbs the hillside towards Hardimbl, an area linked to the springs that feed the stream and to the region’s long mining history.

Here lies the Gruab va Hardimbl, an ancient mine that preserves the memory of the mining activity which for centuries characterised the Mòcheni Valley. The route then continues through a natural setting of great charm, alternating between woods, meadows and open views of the surrounding landscape.

The return journey to Palù passes through the hamlets of Vròttn, Tasainar, Batister, Jorgar and Lenzar. The walk is accompanied by the small waterfalls of the Tasainartol, Batistertol and Lenzertol streams, which lend the route a unique character and make water the central theme of the entire experience.
