The Pieve di Bono-Prezzo Trek

This short and at times challenging loop hike is perfect for a quick recharge, close to residential areas, while still being surrounded by nature.

This route can be completed in all seasons, thanks to its location at the bottom of the valley, between the 500-metre high Creto and the almost 700-metre high Prezzo. This route immersed in nature links the two towns, which form the single municipality of Pieve di Bono-Prezzo.The first, flat section runs along the Chiese River, then climbs the lower slope of Monte Melino. The uphill stretch, initially steeper at the Cimego dam (home to the valley's largest hydroelectric power station), becomes gentler until it reaches Prezzo, through a mixed deciduous and coniferous forest. From the small town, with splendid views over the valley and Castel Romano, it continues downhill towards Creto, alternating between paved roads and meadows, until it reaches the Chiese river and closes the loop.
