Tour of the Val delle Lanze

The excursion takes place in the beautiful Val delle Lanze, on the Fiorentini plateau, bordered by the rocky relief of Monte Coston to the west and the relief of Monte Coston d'Arsiero to the east. At the highest part, it connects to Val dei Tre Sassi.

It is worth undertaking this excursion to capture the alpine beauty of the valley, truly unique. Upon reaching the upper end of it, that is the starting station of the chairlift to Costa d'Agra, it is possible to continue and extend the outing by turning left to climb to Forcella Molon (a fairly demanding section) and from there return to the starting point by descending the comfortable road that leads back a short distance from the starting point. During the First World War (1914-1918), in the autumn of 1915, Monte Coston was the site of fierce battles for the strategic possession of the height. The Italian line was established on the ridge of the opposite Monte Coston d'Arsiero.
