Val di Borzago - La Via delle Valli

The climb in Val di Borzago to the <b>Dante Ongari</b> Refuge at Carè Alto is <b>challenging</b>, characterized by great <b>mountaineering</b> and <b>scenic appeal</b>.

After driving through the narrow <b>Val di Borzago</b>, which starts from Spiazzo, you park at Pian della Sega, from where the <b>path</b> begins that, in <b>constant ascent</b>, leads to the <b>Carè Alto - Dante Ongari Refuge</b>. There are many <b>traces of the &#34;Great War&#34;</b> to be found throughout the area, including the &#34;Bocca del Cannone&#34; and the small wooden church next to the refuge.<br />This is an excellent starting point for traverses, mountain and wild valley excursions, crossings and climbs.<br />The effort of over 1200 meters of elevation gain is fully rewarded by the wild beauty of a <b>varied and majestic environment</b> and by the <b>highly panoramic location</b>. The area where the refuge is located and the surrounding area was occupied during the Great War by a real &#34;military village&#34;, supplied by a dense network of cable lines, and the whole area is rich in war relics. Among them, a visit to the &#34;bocca del Cannone&#34;, at about 2,850 meters, reachable via a well-marked path, is worthwhile.
