Van Spitz Tour - Kaserbissn (Imperial Meadows)

<p>Four-season walk between the Van Spitz and Kaserbissn hitt restaurants. Mostly on white forest roads, through larch, fir and wide pastures.</p>

The departure is placed at the restaurant Van Spitz in the municipality of Frassilongo <em>Garait</em> and the counterclockwise tour, but, if you wish, you can also do it clockwise and start from the locality Kaserbissn near the restaurant of the same name in the municipality of Fierozzo <em>Vlarotz. </em> In the case of the departure from Van Spitz, you pass on the asphalt road behind the restaurant <em>. </em> Here you can admire numerous works in wood and stone that are the result of several symposia by international artists held in past years.<br />Also of note is a kneipp path that you will find on the right before entering the forest. After two switchbacks on an uphill paved road, turn left passing south of the Dosso di Mezzodì. Here the route presents some flat terrain before climbing up to the top of Prati Imperiali. The Italian name of the locality is the result of a mistranslation of <em>&#34;Kaserbissn&#34; </em>(meadows of the cassara in mòcheno, imperial would be <em>kaiser</em>)<em>. </em>The low road between the two resotants is in this case between comfortable descents alternating with a couple of plains.
