The Tret waterfall is located in the upper part of Val di Non, to be exact in the hamlet of Tret a few kilometers from the village of Fondo. There are two routes to the waterfall: an easy one that reaches above the waterfall and a somewhat more challenging one that reaches the base.

Here we explain how to reach the viewpoint to admire the Tret waterfall from above: an easy walk that starts from the village center and travels along a convenient dirt road.

    Roadbook

From the Albergo Aurora continue straight along the forest road, ignoring the 541 trail that instead descends to the base of the waterfall.

The forest road crosses large scenic meadows and when you reach a small bridge, you will notice a path protected by a fence on the left. From here you reach the viewpoint above the Tret waterfall.

The return is along the same route taken on the outward journey.

If you wish, you can continue further and reach the pretty village of San Felice, in the province of Bolzano.
