Rifugio La Rezila
La Rezila is one of the oldest refuges in the Fassa Valley, nestled in an enchanting clearing in the heart of the Alpe Lusia, at 1800 metres.
The area was inhabited since the beginning of the eighteenth century and the name "la rezila" derives from larch or lariceto (larch forest). The building has always been managed by the Iellici family. Currently it is Angelo who keeps the traditions of the ancestors alive, lovers of the mountains and nature, taking care of every detail to create a warm, hospitable and friendly atmosphere. The interior is a river of memories: from the summers spent in the pastures to the war years when the refuge was used as an Austro-Hungarian military hospital.
Enjoy the warmth of the burning fireplace, while listening to the tales of Angelo and taste the delicacies of typical Ladin cuisine, revived in its truest and most rustic essence to make you appreciate life in the high mountains. The refuge also offers a shuttle service and, upon reservation, you can stop for dinner and return to the valley with the torches.
