CAPANNA PRESENA
Information
Just below the glacier is the Capanna Presena, built in the sixties in an era when people (still) came here for summer skiing. The refuge is a focal point for ski mountaineering enthusiasts (who have a reliable season from November to June) and is also the start of the ascent of Cima Presena over the glacier, with its magnificent view of the Pian di Neve dell’Adamello. Tastefully furnished, our "Capanna" offers rooms equipped with every comfort with an incredible view of the sourranding mountains; with the new wellness center of enchanting beauty we offer a romantic holiday with relaxation.
Walks
If you make your way up the Presena glacier to Passo Maroccaro you can then walk down to the Mandron Città di Trento refuge, passing Lago Scuro (2 hours, EE). The easy ascent of Cima Presena (via Passo Presena) takes 1 hour (E). From the refuge you can also embark on the Sentiero dei Fiori (‘Path of the Flowers’; this is in fact a via ferrata requiring appropriate equipment), which runs along the ridges of Punta del Castellaccio and the Corni di Lagoscuro through a series of Great War communication trenches and on stretches of via ferrata with recently-installed vertiginous suspended bridges (EEA-F, 6-7 hours from Passo Paradiso to Capanna Presena).
Payment Conditions
The tourist tax is an amount that must be paid at the accommodation facility for stays of 1 to 10 nights in addition to the price of the booked holiday. It is not included in the price of the stay.

Contact & Directions
To reach our refuge you have to take the Paradiso cable car that leaves from the Tonale Pass and then the new Presena gondola and get off at the intermediate stop. The car can be left in the large free parking at the start of the Paradiso cable car. The last available gondola lift is at 3pm.
As a general rule, check-in will be possible starting from 2.00pm on the day of arrival, and the room must be vacated before 11.00am on the day of departure.
