From Passo to Alpe di Fuciade, chasing Ladin flavors

From Passo San Pellegrino to Fuciade, this walk is a must for the whole family. An easy and mostly flat path sparks the imagination of both young and old. The star is wood!

What strikes is the space, round, open, and potentially infinite if the gaze is upward. Then the shape of the Dolomites around, which become figures. And approaching Fuciade, the wood. Gnomes, crafts, chapels, altars, and "tabià", the ancient barns. Made of forest wood, here, is everything mountain people needed to live the alpine pasture and tame life in nature. So that, moving on, children can dream of fantastic worlds populated by fairies and giants and adults of a life far from city walls, where living is possible. The Marmolada group in front and the Pale di San Martino on the horizon amplify the imagination. The walk to Fuciade, with boots or snowshoes, is possible at any time of the year. Another reason to return and enjoy the scents and colors that shine differently in every season.
