Cultural border - Border culture
The path allows you to get to know the landscape and cultural features of the area around Proves in Val d'Ultimo on the border between South Tyrol and Trentino. Not only different languages and cultures but also different architectural structures, different woods, different types of rocks, naturalistic and geological contrasts.
The route is designed with the intent to let the visitor know the peculiarities of landscape and culture of this territory, unique because it is located on the border between two very different ethnic groups. Along the 5 km route there are 14 thematic panels that illustrate the peculiarities of the area: traces of mining, examples of energy production, information on the medicinal properties of native plants and examples of a spontaneous orchid and a mill.
