RIMAYE _ a material unveiling concept and choreography by Silvia Dezulian, Filippo Porro with Silvia Dezulian, Lorenzo Morandini, Dorotea Porro, Filippo Porro, Gloria Trolla, sound design by Domiziano Maselli, Mattia Nardon, Biagio Cavallo, lighting design by Maria Virzì, produced by AZIONIfuoriPOSTO / Pluraldanza, co-produced by Centro Servizi Culturali Santa Chiara, Campsirago Residenza, C&C Company.
Rimaye, from the Latin "rima" (crevice), is used in mountaineering to refer to the terminal crevasse of the glacier, the empty space that separates the moving ice from the rock walls. Starting from a reflection on the melting and detachment of Alpine glaciers, the Trentino company AZIONIfuoriPOSTO opens an investigation into what is destined to disappear and its legacy. Human bodies and glacial bodies are put in relation as forces in motion, capable of transforming the landscape and preserving memories. Through a score of gestures, words, and sounds, weaving enchantment, nostalgia, and irony, the performance touches on transversal themes such as climate change, memory between present, past, and future, and generational transition.
