Discover the legacy of the First World War
A journey to discover the extraordinary cultural heritage of the “Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra”, that guards objects and testimonies of the conflicts that happened starting from the Renaissance to the Second World War.
The guided tour to the “Museo della Guerra”, offers the possibility to discover the museum, hosted inside the Castle of Rovereto, which with its imposing architecture, witnesses the venetian presence in Southern Trentino, between the 15th and 16th centuries.
From 1921, the museum guards objects and testimonies of the conflicts that happened starting from the Renaissance to the Second World War. Accompanied by a guide, it is possible to listen to the stories dating back to the First World War, starting with the combat system transformation, happened in the 19th century,up to the devastating effects of the war on civilians and the landscape. The tour allows to reflect on the most important pieces of the collection and getting to know the stories they embody.
Guided tours take place every Sunday until the 29th of June, 2025 (except Sunday 20th of April, 2025) from 11am until 3pm.
