The Cappella del Simonino in Trento, located inside Palazzo Bortolazzi Larcher Fogazzaro in Via del Simonino, is transformed into the Aula del Simonino. This precious place of memory, bequeathed to FAI – Fondo per l 'Ambiente Italiano by Marina Larcher Fogazzaro in 2018, has been restored and enhanced to be finally made accessible to the public.
The Hall was officially inaugurated yesterday and from today it is regularly open to visitors, from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. This new space is in addition to the 55 assets that can already be visited among the 72 owned and managed by the FAI throughout Italy, including the evocative Castello di Avio in Trentino.
The opening ceremony was attended by:
- Marco Magnifico, President of FAI
- Francesca Gerosa, Vice-President of the Autonomous Province of Trento and Councillor for Education, Culture and Sport, Family, Youth and Equal Opportunity Policies
- Franco Ianeselli, Mayor of Trento
- Chiara Ghetta, school director of the Istituto Comprensivo Trento 6
- Daniela Bruno, FAI Deputy Director General for Cultural Affairs
A new piece is added to the city's cultural heritage, giving citizens and visitors back a place of extraordinary historical and artistic value.
