The great Triathlon is set to return to the shores of the Lago di Lavarone for a weekend full of spectacle and fun for all triathlon enthusiasts. Saturday, August 29, 2026 will host the Lavarone Triathlon Cross. An event that returns and renews itself in a historic setting for triathlon that has taken its first steps in the heart of dell’Alpe Cimbra since 1986. On August 29, 2026, Lavarone becomes the beating heart of Italian triathlon.
After three editions of constant growth, the Italian Triathlon Federation once again chooses Alpe Cimbra for an extraordinary event: in addition to the stage of the National Cross Circuit, Lavarone will host the Italian Youth Cross Triathlon Championship.
A day that smells of challenge, talent, and future.
PROGRAM:
- In the morning, at 10:30, it will be the Youth A (14-15 years) who will kick off the races with 300 meters of swimming, 6 km of MTB, and 2 km of running, entirely in the lake area and in multilap mode: an engaging format designed to let the audience and families experience every moment up close.
- At 14:00, the competition will take place over the classic distance: 750 meters of swimming, 15 km on MTB, and 5 km run. The Italian titles for Youth B and Junior are up for grabs, while for Elite and Age Group, the race will award crucial points for the Italian XC Triathlon Circuit.
Not just a championship: for the youth categories, it will also be a selection trial for the National Team, with eyes already set on the World Championships in Abu Dhabi.
Sport, adrenaline, and passion meet among lake and nature: Lavarone is ready to ignite the summer of 2026.
