Val di Fassa Running
Five days on the trails of Val di Fassa: a challenge open to professionals and amateurs alike, winding through woods, alpine meadows, and the vast horizons of the Dolomites. On the rest day, the baton is passed to the younger generation
The Val di Fassa Running stage race returns to the 2026 sporting calendar with its historic format, organised by Val di Fassa Grandi Eventi: five stages, 6-12 km each, a different location every day, for a total of around 45 km of rolling sections to push the pace, fast descents to let your legs flow, and climbs that test both legs and mindset.
From 21 to 26 June, runners take on spectacular courses through the most iconic corners of the valley. It all kicks off with an evening opener in Canazei, followed by consecutive race days leading to the most anticipated challenge: the Dolomite stage on Friday, a true mountain stage starting in the village and finishing at altitude. The week wraps up with the final battles and overall standings decided.
Val di Fassa Running is not only for runners: walkers have their own dedicated light route, offering the same breathtaking Dolomite scenery at a more relaxed pace. And if you can't commit to the full week, choose your challenge - you can also enter a single stage, with registration available directly at the start. The 2025 edition, one of the most competitive ever, crowned two new champions: Italo Cassol (La Recastello Radici Group), on his Val di Fassa debut, and Sarah Aimee L’Epee, a loyal participant in the event, who claimed the blue and pink leader jerseys respectively.
