Castel Corno
At the center of battles and legends, it was the object of contention and conquest by various noble dynasties and was the protagonist of military enterprises, until the inexorable decline after the Napoleonic occupation.
A spectacular view that ranges from the Adige river to the Little Dolomites: this is the one you can admire from the walls of this ancient castle, located in a strategic position. The name Castel Corno derives from the shape of the rock spur on which it stands, which you can reach on foot with a little effort. Founded around the year 1000, it has a structure that adapts perfectly to the morphology of the territory, divided into an upper and a lower castle. Owned by the Castelcorno family, it passed first to the Castelbarco family in the 13th century and then to the Liechtenstein family in 1500, until its inexorable decline after the Napoleonic occupation. Since 1928 it has been managed by the Municipality of Isera.
