Castel Pietra

Castel Pietra, whose origins date back to the 12th century, was at the centre of the clashes between the Serenissima, the Dukes of Austria and the princes of Trento, which culminated in the Battle of Calliano in 1487. Throughout its history it remained impregnated for six centuries, until the arrival of Napoleon in 1796. Today, after various restoration works, it can be visited by appointment. It hosts educational activities and special events such as the "dinner with murder", and has been the location for film and television shoots, such as the RAI drama "La Dama Velata" Also part of Castel Pietra is the farm in the surrounding countryside that provides the delicious local produce.
