An ancient bishop's fief in Trentino, with a striking view of Vallagarina and Rovereto.

This fortified residence is in a panoramic position, visible from the entire valley floor, with a long wall that descends the slope to the Torre della Guardia. Together with Castel Corno and Castel Noarna, Castello di Castellano was the bishopric of Trento and served as a protection for the ancient streets in the direction of Lake Cei. Conquered by the Castelbarco family in the mid-13th century, it passed to the Lodron Counts in 1456, who transformed it into a magnificent residence. The manor is now owned by the Miorandi family of Castellano.
