Museo del Moleta

The "Museo del Moleta" in Cinte Tesino is a permanent exhibition that traces the history of one of the trades most practiced in the past by the inhabitants of Cinte Tesino, the "moleta",  that is, the one who sharpened the tools with the grinding wheel.

Ticino Valley has always stood out as a land of travellers. In particular, from Cinte Tesino, many "moleta" pedestrians travelled the streets of central-northern Italy, offering their rounding services with their "mole a carretino", especially in Tuscany, but also in Lazio, Campania and even Sardinia.
