The waterfalls of Cavalese
To catch a glimpse of the waterfalls of Cavalese you’ll have to take a brief walk through the fir forests, streams and stony landscape of the Val di Fiemme. Here you’ll find the Rio Val Moena torrent which, before flowing into the Avisio river, gives life to these spectacular waterfalls: here the waters leap down over the rocks and roar into a small lake over 20 metres below.
GETTING THERE
The waterfall can be easily reached from the bicycle track which follows the Avisio river and is well sign-posted from the road along the valley floor (Strada di Fondovalle). There’s also a spacious car park nearby, from which a number of tracks, offering pleasant strolls in the woods, lead you to this watery spectacle and are guaranteed to leave you amazed by the power of nature.
We suggest this easy itinerary of nearly 5km which leads you, along the wild and enchanted Rio Val Moena, directly to the bottom of the waterfalls.
