An easy and relaxing "mid-mountain" route that leads to the Belvedere of Monte Penegal, a panoramic viewpoint over the Val d'Adige and the city of Bolzano.
A classic for the locals who appreciate it in every season, including winter! The route mostly takes place on SAT trails, marked with signs and well-maintained throughout their length.

From the parking lot, a dirt road (sign 508) starts, which through the woods leads in about 40 minutes of walking to the pastures near the Malga di Malosco. Just before the hut, the itinerary follows sign 508 eastward on a tractor-accessible road, up to the clearing below the summit; from here you quickly reach the Penegal Belvedere. From the large terrace adjacent to Hotel Serafino, you can enjoy one of the most typical panoramas of the Val di Non. Leaving the Belvedere, follow the descent along sign 500-Sentiero Italia and at the first fork take the dirt road heading SW towards Malga Malosco (continuing on path 500 would lead to Passo la Forcolana). From the hut, return to the Regole along the same route as the ascent.

The itinerary starts from the locality Regole di Malosco, reachable by car by driving towards Passo della Mendola. After passing the town of Ronzone, after a hairpin on the left, starts the 3 km long paved road leading to Regole where there are 3 restaurants offering excellent typical cuisine and where it is possible to park the vehicle.Parking
