Cimbrian Imaginary Route

Route loved especially by families with children, inspired by the fantastic world of the Cimbri.

Numerous wooden sculptures and illustrated panels placed along the route tell the characters that populate the local tradition among corners of nature, woods, pastures, and panoramas.

Snow gives a magical touch to this thematic route inspired by the fantastic characters of Cimbrian history and culture such as Frau Pertega and Tüsele Marüsele. You walk through woods and pastures surrounded by the culture of the Cimbri of Luserna/Lusérn, a linguistic island, witness to a centuries-old history.

A loop of about 7 km, to be comfortably covered in a couple of hours, with a slight elevation change

It crosses the section through the forest with the basilisk-dragon, which leads to the alpine pond with the bear sculpture, up to Malga Campo where you can stop and taste simple and genuine dishes. From here, you set off crossing a stretch of flowered fields and at the edge of the forest you find the panel explaining the legend of Sambinelo, a goblin dressed in red who appeared to a woman, making her wander for an entire day until lost… the spirits of the forest often recur in local (and not only) tales: symbols of a time gone by, they can help or not the inhabitants, but it is always wise to keep them friendly and grant them what they ask for, to avoid dealing with their mischiefs.
