<p>Unmissable climb along the military road built in 1915 towards one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Alps. You follow a steady but moderate climb along the switchbacks of the mule track leading to the summit of Monte Altissimo.</p> <p>Hairpin after hairpin, the view opens more and more on the surrounding panorama which, from the Brentonico Plateau, embraces the <a href="https://www.visitrovereto.it/scopri/territorio/lessinia-trentina-i-pascoli-del-cielo/">Lessinia</a> and offers a spectacular view over Lake Garda.<br/>This route is much loved not only by bikers but also by hikers who, in summer but also in winter - snowshoes on foot - climb in large numbers to the refuge.</p> <p>And who can blame them? The path is easy to walk, and the gaze runs free from the mountain to the lake! Along the way, numerous testimonies of the past and the war that these areas were the theater of can also be found. Finally, it's not uncommon to admire birds of prey, chamois, or marmots that are home here.</p>
