Kite Path

Innovative multisensory path on the west slopes of Marzòla for visually impaired and blind people, created by the Trento-Sopramonte Forestry Company.

The path is variably equipped with wooden railings, boards with visual and tactile information, consolidation and leveling of the walking surface, special paving and other precautions. The itinerary winds from the sunny vineyards of San Rocco to climb the steep slopes of Marzòla, through woods, among small springs and remnant landslides, creating environmental diversity. Having overcome the most tiring parts with appropriate steps, you reach the top of a first panoramic terrace with views over Trento, where heather and bearberry bushes, pines and junipers grow. The most sensitive will appreciate the contrast between the sounds coming from the busy valley floor and those coming from the woods, as well as the richness of the wide range of smells and sensory stimuli of the natural environment. You continue comfortably on a wide path following the wooden posts until reaching Pian dei Bìndesi (620 m), a large clearing equipped for resting with benches, tables, open lawn, shaded areas. Nearby is the welcoming Prati ai Bìndesi Refuge and a wide panorama: the Adige valley deep ahead, the city of Trento with its surroundings, the peaks of Monte Bondone with the highest peaks of the Brenta group in the background.

Attention the itinerary is temporarily closed due to a landslide.
