A must to start the season: a simple hike to Pizzo di Levico - Cima Vezzena with an unbeatable view over the Valsugana and the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo.
From the Vezzena Plateau (parking at Passo Vezzena) it is possible to reach the Fort of Pizzo di Levico - Cima Vezzena with a simple itinerary through the pastures, used during the Great War as a position for bombardments and control of military traffic over the Valsugana. Here the Austro-Hungarian Military Engineering built one of the most extraordinary works of military engineering: the summit of this mountain was actually carved out to create an almost impregnable fortress. Since 2017, a panoramic terrace has been installed at the fort that allows you to look out over one of the most suggestive and beautiful panoramas of the entire Valsugana: the view over the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo. Looking east, you can admire the Lower Valsugana and the granite massif of Cima D'Asta.
