On Monte Maggio, an Italian summit
It is a classic of the Alpe Cimbra, from 1600 m of Passo Coe to 1853 m of the summit of Monte Maggio. It is an alternative route to the one that reaches the same summit from Malga Zonta.
The route is not equipped with specific directional signage. On the longest stretch and for much of the return, the signs of the Peace Trail and the tourist route Giro del Monte Maggio (27) are in any case useful. Care must be taken, in the first section, for the presence of the Passo Coe ski slope (walk aside) and also, in the last section of the return, for the ski trails of the Passo Coe cross-country center (keep uphill). The walk is well exposed to the south and runs along the high right orographic side of the deep Val di Terragnòlo. Wide and exciting are the views on the Pasubio mountain massif and, once at the summit, on the valleys and the Vicentine Prealps. Pay attention to some passages where the path is narrower, due to possible icy sections.
