Poit–Cordognè–San Giovanni Loop

It is a mid-altitude themed trail suitable for everyone, winding through the woods and meadows overlooking the village of Mezzano, one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages.

This easy loop hike, which takes about 2½ hours to complete, is highly recommended during the fall foliage season, when the numerous beech trees create a veritable explosion of autumn colors and shades—ranging from yellow to burnt orange to fiery red. Along the way, you’ll come across small clearings—windows offering views of unusual and unexpected vistas: from the Pale di San Martino to Monte Pavione, from the green meadows of San Giovanni to the turquoise waters of Lake Val Noana.
