SAT / E442 - Fricca - Casarota Refuge - Bècco di Filadonna

<p>Path 442 is open and perfectly passable.</p> <p>The route, quite challenging due to the steep climb and the elevation gain, reaches the Casarota Refuge and then continues until it reaches the ridge crest between Bècco di Filadonna and the Third Peak. Breathtaking views are guaranteed. </p>

<p>The path starts from S.P. 349 della Fricca, near the Bar Ristorante Sindech. In the initial section it follows a small road. Then with many switchbacks it climbs the steep forested slope and reaches the Casarota Refuge (SAT Section of Centa San Nicolò). From the refuge the itinerary continues northwest, passing, near the locality &#34;Albi&#34;, the branch of path 432 and then the next trail that to the right climbs Monte Spilèch. It gains altitude climbing on a path covered with debris, passing through sparse vegetation and a large area of withered dwarf pine due to a fierce fire, and comes out on a saddle of the ridge, near the Bus de le Zòle. From here, in view of Cima Vigolana, it goes right and, with a slight ascent, crossing the western slope of Bècco di Filadonna, intersects path 425 (Folgarìa - Bècco di Filadonna).</p>
