Snowshoeing at the panoramic Corno di Tres
Moderately challenging snowshoeing that, however, offers great satisfaction: the 360° view from the summit of Corno di Tres and the hospitality of Rifugio Predaia!
A safe snowshoeing route that runs mainly on forest roads and then takes a trail in the final part. Since Corno di Tres is a very popular destination, the track is often well packed. The starting point is at Rifugio Predaia Ai TodesCi reachable by car on a paved road. In case of snow or ice, you can leave the car at the convenient parking lot at Passo Predaia and reach Rifugio Predaia on foot in about 20 minutes.

As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before setting off, inquire about the state of the trail by contacting the refuge managers on your route, alpine guides, visitor centers of natural parks, and tourist offices.
Roadbook
From the Predaia Plateau, park at Rifugio Predaia. Take the beautiful forest road marked with trail no. 503, which goes with a moderate slope through a forest up to the clearing of Malga Rodeza (1570 m).
Then continue along trail 503, also called Sentiero Italia, which makes a long traverse towards the Sella di Favogna. After about 2 km you reach the junction marked by a sign indicating the summit. Then climb the wooded ridge with easy switchbacks to the summit in about 20 minutes. The 360° panorama that this modest altitude peak offers the hiker is magnificent: the view extends from the Dolomites of Fassa to those of Brenta, from the Maddalene to the Monti di Vigo.
The return is along the same route as the ascent.
Alternatively, it is possible to continue along the easy ridge northeast on trail 500 to complete the loop trail with beautiful views overlooking the Val D'Adige. After passing Corno del Cervo you reach the saddle at the base of Roccia Larga. Here you descend to the left and then take trail 526 which returns to Malga Rodeza.
Directions
