Stage 3 Dolomiti Family Trek King - The breath of the volcanoes

<p>The family version of the Dolomiti Trek King: three days of walking and two nights in a mountain hut, along trails capable of making both adults and children fall in love. The third stage descends from Rifugio Passo delle Selle to Val Monzoni, a geological and botanical jewel with a volcanic soul.</p>

Wake up early: the Enrosadira (Alpenglow) from the terrace of the mountain hut is a spectacle not to be missed. As the sun paints the peaks in shades of pink and gold, in the stillness of the morning you may quietly spot animals moving through the landscape. Then it's time to shoulder your backpack: the stage is entirely downhill, somewhat adventurous in places, yet offering enchanting views at every step. <b>Val Monzoni</b> is a journey through time, among wild open spaces and untouched, centuries-old fir forests. Here, the stream has carved a spectacular canyon - the Forra dei Monzoni (Monzoni Gorge) - which you cross with a thrilling sensation on a suspension bridge. The peaks of Sasso Undici and Sasso Dodici watch over the trail, guardians of a unique geological treasure: rocks born from the fire of ancient volcanoes.
