The Emperor's Way
The route crosses the Val Meledrio, an area of environmental and historical importance within the Adamello Brenta Natural Park.

Medium difficulty snowshoeing route, developed along trails and forest roads marked and signposted by specific signs bearing a snowshoe.

This itinerary crosses a wild and environmentally important area within the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. This path, which separates the Brenta Group from the Presanella Group, historically connected the Val di Sole with the Val Rendena and is called the 'Emperor's Way' because in 1894 the Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph traveled through here on his way to Madonna di Campiglio for the holidays he used to spend there with his wife Sissi. It is said that Charlemagne and Frederick Barbarossa also passed this way.
