Walk - Hermitage of San Lorenzo
The small church stands at 1185 meters altitude on Monte Armentera, in Borgo Valsugana. Of early medieval origin, it was looked after by a hermit until the end of the 18th century.
The Hermitage of San Lorenzo contains various layers of frescoes, dating from the second half of the 13th century to the first half of the 16th century, among which stands out the valuable cycle of San Lorenzo, created in the first half of the 14th century. Numerous graffiti left by pilgrims during their visits asking for grace are present on the frescoes, mostly dating from periods of plague or other calamities.
