Walking this path allows you to savor what only nature can offer: silence, delicate fragrances, and a panorama that changes with the seasons. In spring, delicate flowers like lady's slippers, primroses, violets, and heather carpet the forest floor. In summer, the gentle flow of the "lez" stream provides a refreshing companion on hot days. Autumn brings a peaceful ambiance, where you might spot squirrels gathering supplies for winter. Throughout the trail, numerous wooden sculptures address various themes—from humanity to nature, from anthropomorphism to abstraction—encouraging a contemplative experience akin to visiting an open-air museum.

    Author’s recommendation

Along the route, you'll encounter several artworks, with new sculptures added each year. The latest impressive piece, created by Gianni Mascotti, features three witches of different generations, inspired by historical witch hunts and connecting to contemporary issues like gender-based violence and femicide.

    Tips and suggestions

    Roadbook

From the center of Coredo, proceed along Via Venezia. Just after the Cinema Teatro Dolomiti, at Palazzo Nero, turn left following signs for "Viale dei Sogni" (SAT trail 537). After a short ascent, a sign will direct you to the trail, located opposite the old middle school and just below the new school complex and the picturesque Villa Giannantoni. Passing some houses, you'll enter the main part of the trail, accompanied by a charming stream known locally as the "lez," which flows gently during the summer.

The trail is unpaved and initially flat until you reach a sort of "gateway" on the left, leading into the "Dossi" area—a pine forest between Coredo, the lake area, and Tavon. The path then ascends slightly, revealing several artworks created during the "Predaia Art and Nature" sculpture symposiums held from 2019 to 2025. This evolving open-air museum enriches the untouched natural setting with integrated art pieces. In this area, you'll notice an abundance of beautiful heather, painting the forest floor in shades of purple. The trail then gently descends to the local Chalet, continues to the right with a slight ascent, and then mostly levels out. You'll encounter more sculptures along the way, with the path well-marked by stones painted with a pointing hand to guide your direction.

At the forest's edge, meadows appear on your left as you proceed to the right to complete the loop. In this final stretch, you'll occasionally glimpse the Tavon and Coredo Lakes from above, eventually arriving at the beginning of the Palù area (also known as the "Due Laghi" area). Here, you'll find a well-equipped park with a playground, ample parking for cars and campers, and just beyond, the Coredo Lake with its verdant shores. In summer, you can relax on a rented deckchair from the nearby Pro Loco info point, lay on a blanket to read or sunbathe, enjoy a pleasant barbecue with friends, or engage in recreational fishing.

From here, you'll rejoin the "Viale dei Sogni" to return to your starting point.
