    Safety information

As you can imagine, the accessibility of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before setting off, check the state of the route by contacting the managers of the refuges along your route, alpine guides, visitor centers of natural parks, and tourist offices.

    Roadbook

From Cles, follow the indication for the Mechel hamlet and park the car in the parking lot on the right just after the Primo Sole farm holiday.

Continue on the paved road on foot following the signs for Tuenno (on the Dolomiti Brenta Bike route) until the Ciaretar locality. From here, take the path going up to the right indicated by the "Amici come un tempo" panel. The signage encountered on the way up to Malghetto di Tassullo describes various topics related not only to history and culture but also to naturalistic and environmental aspects of the area. Along the path, there are also several rest areas set up. At the aqueduct, continue left and climb the staircase.

At Malghetto di Tassullo, cross the entire meadow and recreational area; descending to the left of the small shrine, continue along the path leading to the Roplàn locality, towards Mechel.

Roplàn is a spectacular area of large fields and vegetable crops surrounded by forest. The flat road continues and pleasantly descends towards the hamlet of Mechel with a broad panorama over Val di Non.

Once you reach the first houses of Mechel, keep right and continue towards the starting parking lot.

The route is walkable with a stroller up to the Ciaretar locality. For a pleasant alternative with children, continue on the flat paved road from Ciaretar towards Tuenno, bordering the apple orchards up to the playground in the Splazoi locality. The return takes place along the same path.
