Hear the Roar of the Deer. Nighttime Experience in the Park

Easy night hike in the woods searching for deer with their roaring. Observe these proud animals in complete darkness without disturbing them thanks to the thermal camera! Meeting at 6.00 p.m. at the Paneveggio Visitor Center. Reservation required: 0439/026289 – visitors@parcopan.org

In the Park, each season offers incredible shows: that of autumn is the bellowing of the deer. With the arrival of the first cold, when the larches turn gold, the deer enter into love, and the valleys of the Park resonate with the powerful bellows of the males. For a male deer, this is the most challenging time of the year. With deep bellows, dances, and fierce clashes, rivals in love face off to win over the females.
The program includes a brief presentation that will allow for familiarization with the deer and the bellowing. Subsequently, there will be a easy night hike in the forest, accompanied by the Park's wildlife experts, in search of the deer and listening to their bellowing. A thermal camera will also be used to observe these proud animals in complete darkness without disturbing them.
