I Suoni delle Dolomiti | Ialoni
The songs of Central Asia resonate in Val di Fiemme
From Georgia, in the heart of the Caucasus, Ialoni brings to the Fiemme Valley, under the spires of Latemar, a captivating tradition, that of female polyphonic singing. The ensemble, led by ethnomusicologist Nino Naneishvili, has always associated music with the exploration of their own country, searching for the truest and most hidden traditions, to reinterpret them, often with local musicians, and give them new life. A mission that has led to the recording of eight CDs, along with hundreds of concerts performed all over the world and prestigious collaborations such as those with the Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance in London or the Library of Congress USA. The extraordinary voices are hosted in the Tresca plain, part of the Cornacci-Monte Agnello mountain group, accessible by the cable car from Pampeago. A perfect setting for a concert that promises to lead the audience toward other, more distant mountains.
