Stories of Arms

An event to mark the 500th anniversary of the passage of Georg von Frundsberg, commander of the Landsknechts, through the Chiese Valley.

PROGRAMME:

10.00am - Historical camp:

• Competition with pupils from Lodrone Primary School.
• Start of the historical walk with re-enactors, retracing the paths of 500 years ago. From Palazzo Bavaria at the foot of Castel San Giovanni through Pian d’Oneda (route length: 3.5 km).
• Historical demonstration of weapons.
• Troop training.

11.00am - Historical Camp: performance of "La Lavandaia" by Foco Loco.
11.30am - San Giovanni Castle (Bondone): presentation of a scale model depicting the Bocca Cocca Pass, the site of the crossing 500 years ago by the imperial troops commanded by Georg von Frundsberg.
3.00pm - Palazzo Lodrone del Caffaro: Urban Trekking with local guides, in collaboration with the Il Chiese Association, exploring the historic Lodrone palaces. Featuring a re-enactment by the Landsknechts. Book here.
5.00pm - Historic Camp: performance of "La Lavandaia" by Foco Loco.
6.30pm - Lodrone (historic centre): a gastronomic tour through the village streets organised by the Lodrone Associations, featuring re-enactors, dancing, music and imperial drums. Book here.

9.00pm - Church of the Annunciation (Lodrone): "Morgana" fire show by Foco Loco.
