Bezzecca - Ledro

Famous for having been the site of a battle between the Italian army under Garibaldi and the Austrians in 1866, today Bezzecca is a popular relaxation holiday destination in unspoilt natural surroundings. The town offers good quality accommodation and tourist services. The town is in the vicinity of Ledro lake, one of the most beautiful of the Trentino lakes, which is just an easy stroll away along the old highway. Visitors here can take in the natural beauty of the woods and fields by simply relaxing, or engaging in wonderful walks, hikes or cycling trips along the many paths and trails that wind through the surrounding countryside. Interesting sights include the park on the Colle Ossario di S. Stefano, a World War I cemetery on the slopes of a hill, where a Path of Peace has been laid out along the trenches, and the numerous sundials and frescoes that adorn the walls of the houses in the town centre.
