Borgo Valsugana
Valsugana's capital enjoys the most striking urban and river landscape in the Trentino region.
Borgo - Valsugana's capital - offers visitors the most remarkable urban and river landscape in the Trentino region. The Brenta River runs trough the town, bringing its unique Venetian flavour to it.
Overlooked by the imposing Castel Telvana, Borgo is an extremely characteristic town. Curious, food-loving visitors will enjoy the Corso Asugum in the centre, with its baroque portals and shops where traditional products can be purchased. The churches of Sant'Anna, San Francesco and San Rocco, the venetian bridge over the Brenta, Palazzo Ceschi, the Sala Degasperi, the Great War Museum, the Spazio Klien and the Tognolli forge are landmarks which are undoubtedly of interest to guests.
The Arte Natura trail is located just a few kilometres away in Val di Sella, and allows visitors to discover Arte Sella - the biennial international exhibition of masterpieces created with nature and amidst nature. These artworks are created locally and remain a part of nature's lifecycle, living through each season in the woods until they are transformed and become one with the surroundings. Visitors are given the opportunity to admire works of art, which are not still at all, but rather embody the dynamic spirit of nature itself.
Borgo - just like all of the Valsugana - is easy to reach both by car, by public busses and trains travelling to Trento and Venice.
