Transacqua - whose name means "beyond the water" - is the largest town in the Primiero valley. Thanks to its position in a natural amphitheatre, the town boasts an enchanting view onto the surrounding mountains. If you love tranquility, Transacqua is the place you are looking for. As far accommodation is concerned, there is a wide range of hotels, self-catering apartments and country houses to choose from. Several holiday farmhouses of the area offer home-made local delicacies. The town is also mentioned in the famous Alpine song "La Cesòta de Tresaqua" ("Transacqua's small church").
