Located at an height of over 1000 meters at the foot of Corno Nero, Varena is one of the oldest inhabited villages in the whole Trentino region. It is a excellent base to reach Lavazè Pass plateau, which is 10 kilometres away. Thanks to its 80 km ski-runs available at the state-of-the-art Centro del fondo (cross-country ski centre), this plateau is the perfect environment for Nordic skiing. The nearby Snow Park Lavazé is also equipped with three runs for respectively for sleigh, bobsleigh and rubber rings with moving walkway. From Varena it is easy to reach all the highlights offered by the ski area of Fiemme and Fassa.
