Passo del Tonale fondo

Tonale pass, the panoramic amphitheatre straddling Trentino and Lombardy and surrounded by the Adamello Presanella, Ortles Cevedale and Dolomiti di Brenta ranges, is a veritable fitness centre, ideal for learning cross-country skiing.

The cross-country ski circuit, prepared for both techniques, classic and free, covers a distance of 5 km at an elevation of 1900 m along a track that is totally open to the extraordinary panoramic view surrounding it. It starts opposite the monument dedicated to the fallen of WWI, and consists of two rings: the easy 3 km one and a medium-difficult one 5 km long. It is served by the instructors of the Tre Laghetti and Monticelli cross-country ski schools and the area offers ski equipment rentals and many other facilities.
