Festivals in the villages

Discover the top festivals and events in Trentino's villages

A chance to get together, to sit and eat on a wooden bench, close to each other, amidst the chatter, music and laughter. A party. As in the old days, when village festivals came after months of work in the fields, to celebrate the fruit of so much toil.

Events that allow you to taste the best this land has to offer and discover the events that have made the history of these places, in the heart of the mountains. If you have never attended a festival in Trentino's villages, this is the right season to start.

Rustico Medioevo, Canale di Tenno

The village of Canale di Tenno, a stone's throw from Lago di Garda, with its vaults and stone houses, is the ideal place for a medieval reenactment. Don't miss the "Rustico Medioevo", from the 1st to the 9th August 2026: knights, jesters, shows, games in the piazza and traditional dishes from lower Trentino are waiting for you.

La Festa dei Pastori, San Sebastiano

A journey into the roots of Alpine culture, in a small village in Alpe Cimbra. The scent of fresh grass and delicacies for the palate accompany you as you stop to watch the milking and processing of milk to produce butter and mountain cheese. The appointment is August 2, 2026.

Ossana Medievale, Ossana

From 6th to August 9th 2026 the people of Ossana, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, gather together around its castle for "Medieval Week", a festival that celebrates the origins of this village in Val di Sole. Don't miss the international symposium of wood carving inspired by the theme of water, or the medieval dinner inside Castello San Michele.

Palio dela Brenta, Borgo Valsugana

On the banks of the River Brenta, in Borgo Valsugana, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, the historic challenge between the Farinota and Semolota districts takes place in 7-8 of August 2026: the farmers and workers against the aristocrats, once divided by the river. Games from the past, historical parades, challenges between the two sides, crafts from yesteryear: three days to rediscover the village's traditions and flavours.

Bondone in the street, Bondone

Acrobats, tightrope walkers, jugglers, and clowns: for two days, the village of Bondone, on the shores of Lake Idro, becomes an open-air stage, hosting artists from around the world who perform "on the road" before thousands of spectators. The twentieth edition of "Bondone in Strada" will take place on August 8th and 9th, 2026.

Mezzano Romantica, Mezzano

A packed events schedule featuring musicians, teachers and international students of the MAI Music Academy in New York. Opera, musicals, orchestral concerts and chamber music: a wide-ranging and varied musical programme in the romantic villages of Mezzano and Primiero.

Relax & dinner in The "Borgo", Caderzone Terme

A romantic experience in the heart of the mountains. In the afternoon, you can relax at the Terme della Val Rendena spa. Enjoy a steam bath, a whirlpool bath, and a sauna. In the evening, an intimate candlelit dinner awaits you at the historic Palazzo Lodron Bertelli, in the village of Caderzone Terme. Every Tuesday from June 9th to October 6th, 2026.

Territory hunt, Mezzocorona

Follow the clues on the app, scan the QR codes found along the route, and solve the quizzes. It is a 5.4 km interactive treasure hunt winding through the alleys, woods, and vineyards of the Piana Rotaliana Königsberg.

Canederli festival, Vigo di Fassa

Music, tradition, and conviviality. A celebration of the canederlo (bread dumpling) in all its varieties—savory or sweet. From July 16 to September 6, 2026, Piaz J.B. Massar in Vigo di Fassa transforms into a genuine open-air tavern where you can enjoy all kinds of dumplings, accompanied by craft beers and folk music.

San Michele Fair, Ossana

On September 26 and 27, the village of Fucine—a hamlet of the Municipality of Ossana and one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy"—hosts various events dedicated to craftsmanship, ranging from a street market to workshops and children's shows. It is an opportunity to discover one of the sectors that best defines and tells the story of the Val di Sole area.

Sagra della Ciuìga, San Lorenzo in Banale

A party to celebrate the famous sausage, a slow food product, which preserves the knowledge and tradition of the Banale plateau in its ingredients and slow preparation and drying. And to do so there could be no better place than the wonderful village of San Lorenzo, made even more fascinating by the festive atmosphere, from 30 October to 1 November 2026.
